Served in U.S. Army, 1973-79 (Judge Advocate General's Corps; Parachutist Badge; Meritorious Service Medal; Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal). Author, numerous books and articles on evidence, procedure, and trial practice. Adjunct faculty, University of Maryland School of Law, and University of Baltimore School of Law. Distinguished Service Award, Maryland Institute for the Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers, 1998. Professional Legal Excellence Award for the Advancement of Professional Competence, Maryland Bar Foundation, 2001.
